MFSD at 2nd Insubria IP DAY

🏵️ In recent days, the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) annexed to Unified Patent Court (UPC) has formally communicated the admission of qualified professionals as Neutrals within the PMAC framework. Many of these professionals have been trained by MFSD and are already included in our panels and lists, making this milestone particularly meaningful for our community and a clear sign of the quality and consistency of the work carried out over time.

👨‍🏫 Against this backdrop, MFSD is pleased to announce that its Co-Founder, Pierfrancesco C. Fasano, will take part in the 2nd Insubria IP Day as an Expert of the PMAC–UPC, contributing to the session dedicated to the PMAC and its Rules.

🎯 The intervention will address the novelty and practical relevance of the PMAC, highlighting the work already carried out—and still ongoing—on rules, procedures and safeguards aimed at making mediation and arbitration a concrete, credible and effective complement to litigation before the Unified Patent Court. Over recent months, this topic has attracted growing interest from practitioners, companies and institutions, confirming that ADR within the UPC system is moving decisively from concept to practice.

🤝 The event will also be a valuable opportunity to meet in person many of the newly appointed Neutrals, as well as colleagues and professionals who are actively engaging with—and showing strong interest in—the PMAC–UPC system and its future development.
